When children experience safety, connection and enduring relationships, they are more likely to develop the confidence, resilience and sense of belonging that enable them to thrive throughout life. When those relationships are disrupted or lost, the effects can reach far beyond childhood, influencing health, education, identity, relationships, and community participation across generations.
